Indian Army Medical Criteria

- Robust physique and good mental health is necessary for a candidate.
- Minimum 5 cms expansion and well developed chest.
- Normal hearing in each ear and binocular vision in both eyes, should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye. Should be able to recognise white, green and red signal correctly.
- Should have healthy gums and natural healthy teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
- The candidate should not have diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, piles and varicocele.
- Eye sight of 6/6 is important for general duty soldier for infantry.
